Guides: Editing YouTube's "recommended" video list

Ever wanted to get rid of those dodgy video's from your recommended/suggested list?

Well, now you can.

Youtube, as with most other big sites now monitor your internet usage. This is so that they can target their services better to suit your interests. Unfortunately, this could also mean you clicking on one or two "weird and wonderful" video's could mean forever having these types of clips showing up on the side as suggested viewing!

In some sites its easy to fix this by deleting cookies, however on Youtube you'll need to go into Video Manager, where you can select "History" which records all viewings or "Search History" which ofcourse is video's you have searched for.

You are then able to select the video's by ticking the check box and click on Remove. On this page, you also have the option to clear all history by clicking on Clear all Search History or Clear all Viewing History, depending on which criteria you have selected.

Another feature I found useful here, was the ability to add selected video's to Playlist's and Favourites.

Now hopefully you can view all that YouTube has to offer without the embarrassment of having them showing up on the suggested/recommended viewing bar!
